Step 1

Mix wheat flour and maida and prepare a smooth dough adding water.

Step 2

Mix grated coconut powder, jaggary powder, white sesame seeds powder and cardamom powder.

Step 3

Add ghee and mix again thoroughly.

Step 4

Prepare pooris with the dough.

Step 5

Put the mixture as a ball in the center.

Step 6

Fold the poori over it and seal
the edges by pressing with a fork.

Step 7

Heat oil in a frying bowl.

Step 8

Deep fry the kajjikais on medium flame until brown.


My mom used to prepare this for Diwali. I like it a lot. It is very tasty. Thanks a lot..
