Step 1

For preparing barley soup, puree the tomatoes and strain it.

Step 2

Add in tomato puree, blended tomato puree, oregano, basil, stock cubes, barley, salt and water.

Step 3

Cook it covered for 10 minutes on high flame.

Step 4

Remove the lid and continue cooking the soup for 30 minutes on high flame stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Add pepper powder and mix well.

Step 6

Barley soup is ready. Serve hot.
