Step 1

Soak green gram dal in water for one hour and drain water.

Step 2

Add grated coconut, finely cut chillies and coriander leaves.

Step 3

Sprinkle salt and lemon juice.

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 5

Add the seasoning ingredients.

Step 6

Pour it over the prepared kosambari.


How can u make cucumber salad without cucumber!!!. mg,can`t u take criticism!!!

This is not cucumber salad.. it is called kosambri in kannada.. it can also be made using channa dal (use the same method) only soak a bit longer. If you season this with mustard, jeers, bit of hing it would add great taste too!! To make cucumber salad, add freshly grated cucumber to either moong dal or channa dal..

what makes you think there is only one way to make a cucumer salad. You must have come across a different type of cucumber salad. I don`t know what makes you just type in anything you feel like

I am not writing to rate this recipe, but to make a correction that it is not cucumber salad, but something with moong dal. I checked to see the Cucumber salad recipe, and so a totally different recipe
