Easy and quick Cabbage curry with grated carrot and coconut(thoran)

Step 1

Clean the cabbage and cut the cabbage into very thinly as possible.

Step 2

Finely chop green chillies and ginger.

Step 3

Heat oil in a nonstick pan.

Step 4

Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and turmeric and saute for 30 seconds.

Step 5

Add chopped ginger, green chillies, sliced onions and saute for 1 minute.

Step 6

Add grated carrot, salt and finely cut cabbage and stir it well to mix with the seasoning.

Step 7

Cover the pan with a lid for 4 - 5 mins and cook on medium flame.

Step 8

Remove the lid and stir once again.

Step 9

Add grated coconut and cover cook for 2 more mins.

Step 10

Switch off the flame.

Step 11

Garnish with chopped coriander and leave the curry covered for 5 - 1 mins.

Step 12

:- Please follow the timings mentioned exactly as mentioned in this recipe. You will get a wonderfull taste. If overcooked or oversteamed the curry leaves rotten smell.
:- Do cook it on medium flame or else the cabbage will be burnt and the flavour changes.


Pathetic..Is this a curry or what? Im am so f***ing disappointed!!!
