Its very easy to make - Cherupayar curry

Step 1

Wash cherupayar properly and put it in a pressure cooker followed by water and salt.

Step 2

Cook the cherupayar for 2-3 whistles.

Step 3

Remove it from flame and keep it aside for some time.

Step 4

In another frying pan or kadai, heat coconut oil.

Step 5

Splutter mustard seeds followed by shallots, red chilly(broken in two), curry leaves and finally add chilly powder and saute for 30 seconds. (Make sure you do not burn the chilly powder)

Step 6

Finally add this seasoning onto the cooked cherupayar. Stir it well.

Step 7

Serve it hot with Chappathi or Rice or Kanji.
