Step 1

Cut the chicken pieces into finger sized pieces.

Step 2

Mix eggs, 2 tbsp corn starch, salt to taste, 1 tbsp each of soy sauce and chilly sauce into the chicken pieces.

Step 3

Leave it aside for half an hour.

Step 4

Peel onion, wash, half and cut into thick slices.

Step 5

Peel, wash and finely chop garlic.

Step 6

Wash, remove stems and slice green chillies.

Step 7

Wash, half and deseed the cut capsicum into thick strips.

Step 8

Blend 1/2 tbsp of corn starch in 3 tbsp of water.

Step 9

Heat sufficient oil in a wok.

Step 10

Deep fry the marinated chicken pieces till crisp.

Step 11

Remove and drain on an absorbent kitchen towel.

Step 12

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok.

Step 13

Add chopped garlic and stir briefly.

Step 14

Add onion and sliced green chillies and continue frying for a couple of minutes.

Step 15

Add capsicum and saute.

Step 16

Add remaining soy sauce and chilly sauce, ajinomoto, salt, crushed pepper corns, vinegar and blended cornstarch.

Step 17

Add fried chicken pieces and saute till sauce coats the pieces.

Step 18

:- Serve hot.


Excellent recipe. Totaly Indian style try once you wont stop trying it again and again.

Thanks for trying out the dish and rating it. You can add 2 cups of chicken stock and 1tsp corn starch dissolved in warm water to it and simmer for few minutes before the last step (adding the fried chicken pieces). You will get the thick chinese style gravy.


It was very nice........great taste!!!!!!But I had one problem.......there was no gravy at all.......could u tell me how to make it --with gravy?
