Step 1

Add half of the green chillies pieces to tamarind paste and cook on low flame until it becomes thick.

Step 2

Cook the rice and take the cooked rice into a wide plate.

Step 3

Add turmeric powder and 2 tbsp of oil and mix well until entire rice becomes uniform yellow.

Step 4

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Step 5

Add cashew nuts, Bengal gram, remaining green chilly pieces, red chillies, chopped ginger, mustard seeds and curry leaves and fry.

Step 6

Add the above ingredients and salt to the rice.

Step 7

Add the tamarind paste along with the green chilli pieces into the rice. Mix well.

Step 8

Add lime juice if required.

very easy and very tasty dish.if u dont have any curries with yr rice,try this.
