Step 1

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Step 2

Grease bottom and sides of a 9 x 3 inches round cake pan. Dust the pan with flour and set aside.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl ,mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda , salt , sugar and masala powder)

Step 4

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and butter till creamy.

Step 5

Add caramel syrup,vanilla and the fruit rum mixture and dry fruits to it and mix lightly,(don`t over mix)

Step 6

To this bowl, add the dry ingredients in slowly and stir with a spatula until just blended. Do not over mix.

Step 7

Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40 to 45 mins until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

Step 8

Cool the cake in the pan for 20 mins before unmoulding.

Step 9

:- Let cool completely.

I tried this recipe, Cake is very tasty and more fluffy. I think 1 tsp of vanilla essence is little more, if we reduce from 1 tsp it will have enough smell and good taste. Anyway it is very tasty, fluffy, spongy and very delicious .
