Step 1

For preparing creamy tomato soup, dip the tomatoes in hot water, peel and de-seed them. Chop it and keep it aside.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a pan. Fry onion and garlic for 2 minutes on low flame.

Step 3

Add the chopped tomatoes, thyme, salt and pepper powder. Pour hot water and mix well. Allow it to cook for 20 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the thyme and pour the soup into a blender and blend it.

Step 5

Return the blend soup into the saucepan and add in the cream. Heat it for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Garnish with basil.

Step 7

Creamy tomato soup is ready. Serve hot.
