Step 1

Mix the mashed potatoes, cheese, salt and pepper.

Step 2

Imp:- The potatoes must be mashed thoroughly, otherwise the cutlet might break. Also, the potatoes must be drained well before mashing.

Step 3

Add onion, cabbage and carrot along with green chillies and coriander leaves. Mix it very well.

Step 4

Mould it into cylindrical shapes*, dip in eggwhite, coat in bread crumbs and deep fry.

Step 5

While deep frying, make sure that the cutlets are fully immersed in oil.

Step 6

*Shaped like diwan pillows. This shape allows cooking in lesser amount of oil and chances for breaking are less.


This cutlets came out well. Instead of cream cheese I used cheese cubes. Also added a slice of soaked bread to make it more firm.
