Cutlets In Tomato Gravy

Mouthwatering cutlets topped with tomato gravy

Ingredients
  

For the cutlets:-

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 450 gm Onions
  • 4 nos Green chilies chopped
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 lime Lemon juice
  • Salt As reqd
  • Bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp Plain Flour
  • Oil for deep frying

For topping:

  • 1 tbsp Potato chips
  • or
  • 1 tbsp Boiled spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp Cheese grated

Instructions
 

  • For making the cutlets: 1)Boil the potatoes & mash them coarsely.
  • Chop the onions finely.
  • Mix together the onions, potatoes, green chilies, coriander, lemon juice and salt.
  • Shape into cutlets.
  • Mix well the flour in 1 1/2 teacups of water. Dip the cutlets in this paste, roll into the bread crumbs & deep fry them in oil.
  • For making the sauce: 1)Cut the tomatoes into big pieces,.
  • Add 1/2 teacup of water in a vessel along with the cut tomatoes & cook.
  • When cooked, take a thick soup by passing through a seive.
  • Add sugar, chilly powder, tomato ketchup and salt and boil for 15 minutes.
  • For arranging the cutlets in tomato gravy: 1)Arrange the cutlets in a dish and pour the hot sauce. Decorate with potato chips & serve hot.
  • Otherwise, arrange the cutlets in a baking dish, pour the hot sauce and add shaghetti. Sprinkle cheese and bake in a hot oven at 450 degree F for 5 mins.
  • :- Makes upto 8 cutlets.
