Step 1

Put daal in a pressure cooker and heat it for about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 3

Splutter mustard seeds in it.

Step 4

Add small chopped garlic into it.

Step 5

Saute for a while and put chopped onions into it.

Step 6

Add some salt along with it.

Step 7

Add 3 spoons of chilly powder and 3/4 spoon of turmeric.

Step 8

Add small chopped tomatoes into the mix.

Step 9

After the daal has been been cooked for 15 - 20 mins in pressure cooker, add the mix that has been made in the pan.

Step 10

Add green chillies(chopped) and fennel seeds into the daal.

Step 11

Put the tadka (mix) and boil it for 10 more minutes.

Step 12

:- Your daal taka marke is ready to be savored with chappathi, rice or naan.
