Step 1

Clean, wash and marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric and a little salt for about 30 mins.

Step 2

Deep fry the marinated chicken pieces in oil. Keep aside.

Step 3

Heat about 1 tbsp of the same oil in a frying pan.

Step 4

Add the finely chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Add the chopped garlic and curry leaves and saute for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Add the chopped tomato and saute until they turn pulpy and mashed.

Step 7

Add the diced onions and saute for just a min.

Step 8

Add the diced red and green capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.

Step 9

Add the chilly flakes and pepper powder and saute for 5 minutes.

Step 10

Add the fried chicken pieces and the tomato sauce.

Step 11

Saute for 5 minutes and then check for salt.

Step 12

Add more salt as required as the salt from the chicken would have been released into the curry as well.

Step 13

Once done, remove from fire.

Step 14

:- Your hot and sweet Srilankan Devil Chicken is ready to be served as a starter or as a side dish for the main course.

hi can use any kind of chicken....chicken lollipops would be the best bet.....according to the variety of chicken that you choose, the quantity would vary for 6 people.
