Egg Poori

Egg Poori is another variety of poori among the different types of poori. This is a healthy, tasty poori. Commonly, Poori is a very famous breakfast in South Indian Cuisine. The deeply fried pooris are dipped in egg, cardamom powder mixture and again deeply fried in oil.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour 1 cup
    Egg 2
    Cardamom powder 1 tsp
    Sugar 3 tbsp
    Water as needed
    Salt to taste
    Oil 1 cup

Take wheat flour in a bowl.

Make a dough by adding salt and water little by little .

Make small small balls from the dough and then make it flatten shape using chappathi maker or press.

Repeat same with the remaining dough .

Then heat a pan with oil and put poori to it , let it cooked and puffed well.

Repeat same with the remaining poori's and keep it on a plate .

Take a bowl and put egg , sugar and cardamom powder to it beat it well.

Then put one poori to the egg mix and dip it well .

Then again heat pan with oil and fry the dipped poori and when we see the egg layer above poori is cooked take it out .

Do same with the remaining poori's and serve it hot or cool .

Notes :

We can use left over poori from breakfast and make this as a snack .
