Step 1

Preheat oven to 180 degree cen.

Step 2

Grease an 8" square cake tin with butter.

Step 3

Heat sugar in a pan, till it melts.

Step 4

Add water to make caramel syrup and keep aside.

Step 5

Mix in 1 tbsp of maida to the chopped fruits to coat the fruit with the flour and keep aside.

Step 6

Melt the butter in a pan.

Step 7

Allow it to cool.

Step 8

Add milkmaid.

Step 9

Sift together the maida, baking powder, sodabicarbonate, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 10

Mix the maida with the milkmaid- butter mixture alternating with aerated soda, till both are over.

Step 11

Add the caramel syrup and the chopped dry fruits and mix well.

Step 12

Pour into the greased cake tin and bake for 45 mins - 1 hr at 180 degree cen.

Step 13

:- Preparation time - 30 - 40 mins
:- Baking time - 1 hr


This eggless fruitcake recipe rocks, I tried it totay and the cake came out really yummy. Its perfect. I used all purpose flour, wih sweetened, condensed milk, fruitcake mix, and 1 stick of butter (4oz) and rest of the ingredients
