Step 1

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 2

Add bay leaves, split green chilies and the blended mixture.

Step 3

Fry till the oil begins to separate. (This will take around 10-12 minutes)

Step 4

Add the fish pieces along with sugar and salt.

Step 5

Add little water and simmer it for a while.

Step 6

Just before taking it off the fire, add the coconut milk, garam masala and bring to a boil.

Step 7

:- If you want, you can add melted butter to enhance the taste.

not much mentioned about the cooking time for the fish.. Fish got over cooked this way. Best will be to marinate the fish with lil lemonjuice, chilli & turmeric & add it at the end after coconut milk is added.
