Marinate peeled, deveined and cleaned prawns with turmeric powder, salt and lime juice.

Heat oil in a kadai.

Add chopped onion and fry till it turns light brown.

Add chopped tomato and saute for a few seconds.

Dry roast coriander, cumin and black pepper together and dry roast the same to a fine powder.

Add the powder to the pan and continue to saute.

Add the prawns, salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Mix well.

Add some water for cooking the prawns.

Step 9

Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes on full flame.

Step 10

Stir and cook for another 15 minutes on low flame.

Step 11

Open the lid and add some coriander leaves.

Step 12

Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
