Step 1

Wash rice and soak for 1/2 hour.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 3

Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, black pepper and cardamoms.

Step 4

Add cashewnut pieces and simmer for 1 minute.

Step 5

Add onions and fry till golden brown.

Step 6

Add mushrooms and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Add rice, cabbage, garam masala and salt.

Step 8

Add water and cover the pan.

Step 9

Cook on slow flame till rice is done.

Step 10

:- Serve with hot curry.


This recipe is just crap..


it was okay, nothing like biryani... it was more like fried rice or pulav.
