Instructions
  1. Wash rice and soak for 1/2 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, black pepper and cardamoms.
  4. Add cashewnut pieces and simmer for 1 minute.
  5. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
  6. Add mushrooms and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add rice, cabbage, garam masala and salt.
  8. Add water and cover the pan.
  9. Cook on slow flame till rice is done.
  10. :- Serve with hot curry.

it was okay, nothing like biryani… it was more like fried rice or pulav.
