For preparing north indian style fish biriyani, first marinate the fish pieces with the ingredients of marinade and keep for 1 hour.
Fry it in oil for 5 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
Make a paste of 3 green chillies, little mint and coriander leaves.
In a kadai, heat oil. Fry the sliced onion with pinch of salt till dark brown color and set aside.
In the same oil, fry onion, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and coriander paste.
Add chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Fry well till oil clears.
Add salt and curd. Mix well.
Add the fried fish pieces and little water. Cover and cook the fish.
Mean while, boil water. Add whole garam masala and salt. Add rice and cook it.
Strain when done, and keep aside.
Fry cashew nuts and raisins.
In a rice cooker, spread ghee in vessel. Add rice a layer and cooked fish masala as another layer. Again rice, then fried onion.
Repeat process with rice on top with mint and coriander leaves.
Warm it for 6 minutes.
Serve hot with cashew and raisins.
North Indian style fish biriyani is ready.
