Step 1

Pour oil & ghee in a kadai or cooker.

Step 2

Put all the raw masala items and fry them.

Step 3

Add sliced onions, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and saute for a while.

Step 4

Add washed rice and give a gentle mix.

Step 5

Add coconut milk (normal milk not thick nor thin), sweetlime juice and water according to the given measurement only.

Step 6

Add the food color and salt.

Step 7

Allow it to boil nicely.

Step 8

Simmer the stove and keep upto 2 whistles.

Step 9

Open the lid and wait until the steam gets off and then, give a mix.

Step 10

For making raitha:-
1)Fry both cabbage and capsicum.

Step 11

Remove it from stove and add pepper and cumin powders.

Step 12

Add salt and curd.

Step 13

Give a mix.

Step 14

:- Serve pulao with raitha.
