Step 1

Pressure cook rice and green peas separately.

Step 2

Grind together coriander leaves, mint leaves, half onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies and 1 tsp of cumin seeds into a paste.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 4

Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and the remaining half of finely chopped onion.

Step 5

Fry, till it turns transparent.

Step 6

Add the ground paste, cooked peas and salt.

Step 7

Mix it thoroughly, till the raw smell of the paste goes.

Step 8

Add rice and mix well.

Step 9

:- Serve hot with Onion Raita.
