Step 1

Take maida in a flat bottomed bowl.

Step 2

Add enough water to make a thick batter.

Step 3

Add sugar, cardamom powder, salt and food color and mix thoroughly making sure no lumps are formed.

Step 4

Cut the banana into half.

Step 5

Then cut them lengthwise into 4 strips.

Step 6

Heat oil in a wok for deep frying.

Step 7

Dip the banana strips into the batter and deep fry till done.
:- Let them not change color too much. Remove when they start turning golden brown.

Step 8

Serve hot with tea.
:- you can add 2 sugar free tablets instead of sugar for diabetics and health conscious.
