  • All purpose flour(Maida) - 1 cup
  • Sugar(or according to taste) - 4 tbsp
  • Cardamom(powdered/pounded, Elakka) - 4 nos
  • Water(about 2 cups) -
  • Salt(A pinch) -
  • Yellow food color - 10 drops
  • Oil for deep frying -

Instructions
  1. Take maida in a flat bottomed bowl.
  2. Add enough water to make a thick batter.
  3. Add sugar, cardamom powder, salt and food color and mix thoroughly making sure no lumps are formed.
  4. Cut the banana into half.
  5. Then cut them lengthwise into 4 strips.
  6. Heat oil in a wok for deep frying.
  7. Dip the banana strips into the batter and deep fry till done. :- Let them not change color too much. Remove when they start turning golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with tea. Tips:- :- you can add 2 sugar free tablets instead of sugar for diabetics and health conscious. Happy Cooking 🙂
