Step 1

For the crust :
1)Measure water and pour into a non-stick pan. Leave it to boil.

Step 2

When it boils vigourously, add 2 tsp oil/ghee, salt, coconut and the idli rawa.

Step 3

Keep stirring and once the water evaporates, take it off the stove.

Step 4

Allow it to cool to a bearable temperature.

Step 5

For the filling:
1)Powder the jaggery well.

Step 6

For making the kozhukkattai:
1)Take a small quantity of the dough.

Step 7

Make it into an egg shaped ball.

Step 8

Make a small incission and put a small piece of jaggery.

Step 9

Seal the incission by moulding the stuffed dough again with your palms.

Step 10

The final product will be shaped like an egg.

Step 11

Prepare all the kozhukkatais like this.

Step 12

Steam in an idli cooker.

Step 13

:- Do not take it out of the cooker when it is hot. It will break.

Step 14

Allow it to cool inside the cooker for sometime. This will hold the kozhukkattai together.
