Step 1

For preparing potato tikka, in a pressure cooker half cook the potatoes in water and salt. Drain the water.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a vessel on low flame. SautT in the onions and anise till the onions becomes golden brown in colour. Then remove the anise.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix in ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, curry powder, turmeric powder and chilly powder with a little water.

Step 4

Then add it to the fried onions and mix it well for 3 minutes on low flame.

Step 5

Toss in the potatoes and pour in coconut powder mixture.

Step 6

In a bowl mix in the cream, yogurt, tomatoes and tomato puree with water and pour it into the vessel. Mix it well.

Step 7

Allow it to simmer for 20 minutes until potatoes are done and stir it occasionally.

Step 8

Sprinkle garam masala and mix it well.

Step 9

Potato tikka is ready.
