Step 1

Clean the prawns and keep aside.

Grind one cup of chopped onions,
poppy seeds and ginger piece into
a smooth paste. Extract pulp from

Add oil to a deep bottomed pan and heat. Splutter mustard seeds. Add remaining onions and fry well. Now add garlic paste, turmeric powder, sorrel leaves and green chillies.

Step 4

Add the prawns and enough salt and cook for few minutes. Add the
tamarind pulp and mix thoroughly.
Cook until all the ingredients are
well blended. Serve with rice.
