Instructions
  1. Clean the prawns and keep aside.
  2. Grind one cup of chopped onions, poppy seeds and ginger piece into a smooth paste. Extract pulp from tamarind.
  3. Add oil to a deep bottomed pan and heat. Splutter mustard seeds. Add remaining onions and fry well. Now add garlic paste, turmeric powder, sorrel leaves and green chillies.
  4. Add the prawns and enough salt and cook for few minutes. Add the tamarind pulp and mix thoroughly. Cook until all the ingredients are well blended. Serve with rice.
