Step 1

For preparing rajma chaaval, wash rajma and soak it in water over night.

Step 2

Add cardamom, cloves and garlic with soaked rajma and cook it.

Step 3

Saute onion and ginger in oil. Fry well.

Step 4

Add chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Add some water and fry well.

Step 5

Then add tomato and fry.

Step 6

Add cooked rajma and cook well.

Step 7

Add rice and 2 cups of water. Cook till the rice is done.

Step 8

Rajma chaaval is ready.
