Step 1

Cut beef into narrow 2-inch long strips about 1/2-inch thick.

Step 2

Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper.

Step 3

:- If you want it to be more spicy, you can Indianize it using 3-4 green chillies or maybe using any red paprika powder.

Step 4

Once you mix all of this, keep aside.

Step 5

Make beef stock easily using a cube of Beef Stock cubes.

Step 6

Heat butter or margarine in a large heavy wok or skillet over medium heat.

Step 7

Add meat in batches, browning each batch quickly. Set aside and keep warm.

Step 8

Add the onion and mushrooms to the skillet and saute until golden brown.

Step 9

Add the flour and blend well.

Step 10

Gradually stir in beef stock.

Step 11

Heat for about 3 mins until sauce is thick and bubbly.

Step 12

Add the beef and cook until all the flavours are blended well and beef is cooked.

Step 13

Blend in sour cream.

Step 14

Heat but do not boil.

Step 15

:- Serve beef stroganoff over rice or noodles.

If you are worried about Cholestrol and fat:-

1. Use Margarine instead of Butter.
2. Replace Sour Cream with a can of Mushroom Soup, which is readily available.
