Simple Beef - Chicken Stroganoff

Butter or Margarine

As reqd

Sour
cream
Instructions
Cut
beef
into narrow 2-inch long strips about 1/2-inch thick.
Sprinkle meat with
salt
and pepper.
:- If you want it to be more spicy, you can Indianize it using 3-4
green chillies
or maybe using any red paprika powder.
Once you mix all of this, keep aside.
Make
beef
stock easily using a cube of
Beef
Stock cubes.
Heat butter or margarine in a large heavy wok or skillet over medium heat.
Add meat in batches, browning each batch quickly. Set aside and keep warm.
Add the
onion
and mushrooms to the skillet and saute until golden brown.
Add the flour and blend well.
Gradually stir in
beef
stock.
Heat for about 3 mins until sauce is thick and bubbly.
Add the
beef
and cook until all the flavours are blended well and
beef
is cooked.
Blend in sour
cream
.
Heat but do not boil.
:- Serve
beef
stroganoff over rice or noodles. Cooking Time: 45 Mins
Health Tips:-
If you are worried about Cholestrol and fat:- 1. Use Margarine instead of Butter. 2. Replace Sour
Cream
with a can of
Mushroom
Soup, which is readily available.
