Step 1

Wash paalak (spinach) thoroughly, and chop it finely.

Step 2

Wash masoor dal.

Step 3

Put both in a pressure cooker and cook for 20 mins.(up to 3 whistles.)

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 5

Add ginger/garlic paste, coriander powder, red chillies, turmeric powder and salt.

Step 6

Stir till the raw smell of ginger /garlic goes and the oil starts to leave the sides of the pan.

Step 7

Add cooked masoor dal and paalak.

Step 8

Add pure ghee and cook for another 5 mins.

Step 9

:-Serve hot with Plain Rice, Papad and fried "Dahi - Mirchi".

it came out very well and it was tasty i added 1 tomato with that which gave me a different taste thnks for the recipe


Not good at all!!!! I think when coriander powder is added, it gave off a slightly bitter taste


Too good.... liked it best coz it`s so easy to make.
