Spinach With Masoor Dal Spinach/Paalak cooked with Masoor dal 1 bunch Spinach (Cheera)1 cup Masoor dal (Parippu)2 nos Red chillies (Kollamulaku)Turmeric powder (A pinch)1 tsp Coriander powderGinger (garlic paste - 1 tsp)1 tsp Oil1 tsp GheeSalt (As reqd)Coriander leaves (A few) Wash paalak (spinach) thoroughly, and chop it finely.Wash masoor dal.Put both in a pressure cooker and cook for 20 mins.(up to 3 whistles.) Heat oil in a pan.Add ginger/garlic paste, coriander powder, red chillies, turmeric powder and salt.Stir till the raw smell of ginger /garlic goes and the oil starts to leave the sides of the pan. Add cooked masoor dal and paalak. Add pure ghee and cook for another 5 mins. :-Serve hot with Plain Rice, Papad and fried "Dahi - Mirchi". North Indian
Not good at all!!!! I think when coriander powder is added, it gave off a slightly bitter taste
it was a pretty simple recipe and tasty too
it came out very well and it was tasty
i added 1 tomato with that which gave me a different taste
