Sweet And Sour Chicken Appetizers

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup Corn flour
  • 1 tbsp Rice flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Orange juice
  • 1 tsp Orange peel grated
  • 1 no Egg
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • Oil to fry the chicken fingers
  • 2 tsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Split-cut the breasts into finger thickness and cut them into fingers and pat them dry(about 1/2 inch thick and 3 inch long).
  • Add a little salt, mix well and keep aside.
  • Mix the egg, rice flour, salt and corn flour and add a liitle water to get a thick batter.
  • Stir in the pepper and baking soda powder and mix well.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  • Quickly dip the chicken fingers in the batter and deep fry.
  • :- The heat should be medium. If it is too high, the chicken will not be cooked properly.
  • When golden brown, remove them from oil and drain in paper towels/ newspapers.
  • For sauce:- 1)Boil 1/2 cup of water.
  • Meanwhile, make a watery paste of 2 tsp of corn flour and 1 tbsp of water.
  • Add this to the boiling water.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • When it starts to thicken, add the orange juice and remove from heat.
  • Use it after it cools down.
  • To Serve:- 1)Arrange the fingers in a plate.
  • Keep the sauce in a bowl and place it in the center.
  • Sprinkle the orange peel over the chicken and serve.
