Has detoxifying, relaxing and diuretic properties. Reduces formation of kidney stones and is a remedy for cystitis.
Good source of Dietary Fiber, Riboflavin, Niacin, Folate and Iron and a very good source of Thiamin.
Used as thickening agent in soups and liquid-based foods, such as sauces, gravies and custards. Can be used in corn bread, famous makki di roti and multi-grain recipes. Major use is in making Mexican Tortilla – Tacos and Nachos.
