MEDICINAL VALUE :
Fenugreek seeds are used in colic flatulencee, dysentery, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, chronic cough, enlargement of liver and spleen, rickets, gout and diabetes, Also used as carminative, tonic and aphrodisiac.
NUTRIENT VALUE :
One tbsp of fenugreek seeds contain 36 calories, .71g fat, 6.48g carbohydrate, 2.55g protein
CULINERY AND OTHER VALUES :
Fresh fenugreek pods, leaves and shoots are eaten as curried vegetable. Also used as spice for flavouring food. Powdered dried leaves are used for garnishing. Also used in manufacture of hair tonics.
