MEDICINAL VALUE :
Very digestive food, so can be given to persons who are even sick. Gives good nutrition and promotes health. Acts as alaxative when given in larger quanities.

NUTRIENT VALUE :
Low in fat and high in vitamin B, calcium, potassium, protein and fibre

CULINERY AND OTHER VALUES :
Traditional ingredient in indian dishes especially in curries. Often cooked into soups or puree as it doesn’t hold its shape well. Soaked in water and made a paste to make dosa, uthappam etc.
