MEDICINAL VALUE :
Medically, tamarind finds application as appetizing, laxative, healing and anti-helminitic properties. Also used against fluorosis.

NUTRIENT VALUE :
Rich source of vitamin A, calcium, carbohydrate, humidity, protein etc. It is a rich source of tartaric acid.

CULINERY AND OTHER VALUES :
Tamarind pulp used in culinary preparations. Also a raw material in preparation of wine like beverages. Tamarind kernel powder finds application in textile, confectionary, cosmetics, dyeing and tanning industry.
