1/2 cup Rice2 tbsp Moong dal (dry fried, Cherupayar parippu)2 1/2 cups Coconut milk1 tbsp Cashews nuts (broken)3/4 cup Jaggery (grated)5 nos Kismis/Dried grapes (Onakka munthiri)1/2 tsp Cardamom powder (Elakka)1 tbsp Ghee Wash and cook rice and moong dal(cherupayar parippu) with 2 cups of water in a heavy bottomed pan or pressure cooker. Keep aside.Dissolve the grated jaggery in the coconut milk and bring to boil.Add the cooked rice and moong dal into the jaggery mixture and combine well. Add crushed cardamom powder. Mix well.Melt ghee in a pan and fry the raisins and cashew nuts till golden brown and mix with the prepared adisil.Akkara adisil, a naivedyam(offering to god) recipe, is ready. Kerala
