  • Almond(soaked in hot water) - 175 g
  • Cashew nuts(fried and chopped) - 175 g
  • Sugar - 1/2k g
  • Ghee - 1/4 kg
  • Refined camphor(A little) -
  • Saffron(soaked in 1 tbsp milk) -
  • Saffron colour(A few drops) -
  • Cardamoms(powdered, Elakka) - 4-5 nos

Instructions
  1. For preparing almond halwa, peel the almonds and grind to a fine paste. Keep it aside.
  2. Prepare a thick syrup by boiling sugar with water.
  3. When the syrup is thick, add in the almond paste, saffron mixture and saffron colour.
  4. Add in ghee little by little till the full quantity is used up.
  5. Once the halwa starts leaving the sides of the vessel, remove it from the flame.
  6. Then add in cardamom powder, cashew nuts and camphor. Mix it thoroughly.
  7. Almond halwa is ready.
