Instructions
  1. First cube half of the potato and mash the other half.
  2. Make a fine paste with onion, ginger and green chillies.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and splutter cumin and mustard seeds. Add the ground paste and saute for a few minutes.
  4. Now, add turmeric powder, cumin powder, ground tomato paste, red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of water and stir in boiled potatoes and peas. Cook covered for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve aloo matar hot with roti/chappathy.
