An European Style Fish Curry

European Style Fish curry - not too spicy

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Fish preferably Karimeen. Any fish is possible but Karimeen is the best for this recipe
  • 100 gm Tomato sliced in round pieces
  • 2 nos Onions sliced in round pieces, medium
  • 2 tbsp Fish masala preferably Melam
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Coriander leaves cut into very small pieces
  • 1 no Lime sliced into round pieces
  • Oil(preferably Sunflower oil)
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Marinate fish with fish masala and salt for 20 - 30 mins.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and saute, till they turn light brown.
  • Place the fish over the onions.
  • Cover the pan and cook for 6 - 9 mins.
  • Turn the fish to cook the other side.
  • :- Do not disturb the onions too much. At the same time, make sure that the onions are not getting burnt.
  • Place the tomato over the fish.
  • Cover and cook it for 10 - 15 mins.
  • Garnish with lime and coriander leaves.
