250 gm Green gram400 gm Sugar3 cups Grated tender coconut1 tbsp Cardamom powder (Elakka)100 gm Maida100 gm Rice flour350 gm Refined oil250 ml Ghee Soak the green gram (with out husk) over night.Mix it into dough like that of idly and prepare idlys in idly cooker.Take the idlys out and break them into fine powder. Add sugar, grated coconut powder and cardamom powder and prepare 2-3" balls.Mix maida and rice flour in a bowl, adding water prepare dough like that of dosa dough.Keep a frying bowl on the stove and pour oil in it and heat.Dip the ball in the dough one by one and deep fry them in the frying bowl until they turn brown.:- Serve with ghee.
