Instructions
 

  • Soak chick pea over night.
  • Cook chana by adding carrot, salt and water as required. Take 2 tbsp cooked chana from this and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add coconut oil, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.
  • Add crushed ginger garlic.
  • After few seconds, add sliced onion and saute until light brown in colour.
  • After that, add coriander powder, turmeric powder and saute for one minute on low to medium flame.
  • Now add chopped tomato, green chilly and curry leaves. Add 2 tbsp water, cover and cook for few minutes.
  • Next, add previously cooked chana.
  • Bring the curry to boil.
  • We have to make a paste out of the previously kept aside 2 tbsp cooked chana. This paste has to be added to the gravy.
  • Add it into the curry and combine well. Bring to a boil.
  • Pour some coconut milk and mix well.
  • Finally add some pepper powder, garam masala powder and mix well.
  • When it starts to boil, add chopped coriander leaves and remove it from the flame.
  • Tasty Authentic Chana Masala is ready now.
