Aval Appam Spongy appam 1 cup Rice flakes (Aval)3 cups Raw rice (Pachari)1/2 cup Curd1 tsp Fenugreek seeds (Uluva/Methi)Oil (As reqd)Salt (As reqd) Wash rice and rice flakes and soak in water along with fenugreek seeds and curd for about 5 hrs. Grind all the ingredients finely and make it into a batter as that of dosa or slightly thicker. Allow it to ferment for about 7 - 8 hrs.Heat griddle and grease it with oil.Pour the batter and spread it slightly to make thick appams.
