Instructions
  1. To soak the aval, pour some water in the aval and immediately remove the water from the aval and keep it aside.
  2. Clean the onion, potato, carrot, ginger, green chilli and coriander leaves and then cut them into small pieces and keep them aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan and then add the cut onion, potato, carrot, ginger, green chilli and coriander leaves.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and stir the mix well.
  5. Allow to cook this mix in low flame for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the soaked aval into this mix and stir it well and allow to cook it for about 5 minutes (please do not add water).
  7. Enter Step
  8. Add the grated coconut with the aval upma and then serve it as break fast or with the evening tea / coffee.
