  • Jaggery(scrapped, Sharkara) - 1/2 cup

Instructions
  1. For preparing aval with ripe banana, take a pan and heat ghee. Then add beaten rice and stir for a few minutes. Let it get dry.
  2. Take it from the stove once it gets crispy.
  3. In another pan melt the jaggery.
  4. Put the sliced banana pieces in it.
  5. Cook this in low heat for a minute.
  6. Then add the beaten rice and stir quickly.
  7. Aval with ripe banana, ideal for breakfast, is ready. Serve hot.
  8. Tip: You can substitute jaggery with sugar if you want. You will need about 4-5 tbsp for that. You can add nuts and any dry fruits if you want along with this. It is a very healthy breakfast recipe, especially for children.
