Avial - Traditional
A side dish for sadhya
Ingredients
- 1 no Carrot
- 1 no Raw banana
- 4 nos Beans
- 50 gm Bittergourd
- 100 gm Elephant yam
- 4 nos Green chilly
- 1/2 no Coconut
- 1 ¼ Curd
- 2 nos Shallots
- 1/4 inch Ginger
- 6 pods Garlic
- Curry leaves As reqd
- Salt As reqd
- Oil As reqd
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
Instructions
- 1) Cook carrot, banana, beans, bitter gourd, elephant yam and green leaves in water with salt and turmeric powder. Keep it aside.
- 2)Grind coconut, shallots and a pinch of turmeric powder. Keep it aside.
- Mix in the curd and curry leaves.
- Boil for 5-10 minutes.
- Serve it for sadhya with rice.
