  • Soft rice flakes or Avil - 1 cup
  • Raw Rice(raw) - 2 cups
  • Butter Milk(should be sour) - 3 cups
  • Cooking Soda - 1/4th tsp
  • Salt(to taste) -
  • Sugar - 1 tsp

Instructions
  1. Wash the rice flakes, rice and soak in butter milk overnight.
  2. The next day grind the mixture to a fine paste.
  3. Add Salt and sugar while adding little water if necessary.
  4. Remove in a vessel and add the soda and mix well.
  5. The batter should be thick enough to pour in a small saucepan.
  6. Keep it for 2 hours for fermentation.
  7. Pour a ladle full of the dosa batter into it the pan. :-No need to spread it as it is a thick and fluffy type of dosa.
  8. Keep it covered and after a few seconds pour a little oil around the edges of the dosa and cover it again till it is cooked.
  9. Take care to have a medium flame.
  10. After a few minutes, turn the dosa. Keep it covered again.
  11. Remove when both sides are done.
  12. :- Serve hot with tomato or coconut chutney.
