Babycorn And Capsicum Masala

This delightful vegetable with the goodness of corn tastes well in combination with rotis. It is awesome to taste.

  • Clean the Onions and Capsicum and cut them into pieces as shown in the picture
  • Clean and cut the Tomatoes also
  • Clean and cut the Baby corn into small pieces and boil it along with some Turmeric Powder and Salt, for about 10 minutes
  • After about 10 minutes, put off the stove and remove the water from the cooked Baby corn
  • Heat Oil in a frying pan and heat the Onion and Capsicum pieces in it for about five minutes
  • Then take the Onion and Capsicum pieces from the frying pan and keep them aside.
  • Heat one tspn. Oil in a frying pan and add some sliced Onion and Tomato pieces and stir it for 2 – 3 minutes and let it cool for some time.
  • Grind this mix along with Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Cumin seeds/Powder, Garam Masala Powder, Cashew-nut and Salot etc. and make a paste.
  • Again, heat Oil in the frying pan and put the masala paste into the hot oil
  • Stir the Masala paste in the hot oil for about 3 – 4 minutes
  • Then add the cooked Baby corn pieces into this mix
  • Stir this mix well for about another 2 – 3 minutes
  • Add the Milk also into the mix
  • Then add the (already heated) Onion and Capsicum pieces and allow to cook this mix for another 5 – 10 minutes at medium flame.
  • Baby corn and Capsicum Masala is ready and can be served as side dish for Chappathi/Poori/Dosa/ cooked rice etc.
